Blokland expands with the BT Marine Nederland portfolio

We’re proud to announce that Blokland has reached an agreement to acquire BT Marine Nederland’s trading assets, running contracts, and customer base.

This step strengthens Blokland’s position as a global propulsion expert and manufacturer, expanding our capability to support customers worldwide with high-quality propulsion systems and service.

This moment also marks an important personal milestone. After 22 years with BT Marine Nederland, Leo Ritmeester has officially concluded his career.

Leo has been instrumental in the sale, design, manufacture, and supply of propulsion systems across the Netherlands and beyond, earning industry-wide respect for both his technical expertise and his character.

We’re grateful that Leo will remain involved with Blokland for a period to ensure a smooth transition of ongoing contracts and customer relationships.

Blokland and BT Marine already share a strong working relationship, helping ensure a seamless handover. Customers can expect the same continuity, service, and support they’ve always relied on.
