Flexible couplings 

A flexible coupling reduces noise and vibration on board and is damping torsion vibration. Blokflex flexible couplings provide an elastic connection of the propeller shaft to the gearbox output flange. They are manufactured to high standards of quality and have a long life span.

The couplings can deal with loads from different directions (radial and/or axial), making it possible to deal with the thrust force of the propeller.

The aluminium housing of type 115-4 en 150-4 is machined to fit directly to the gearbox output flange. Starting with type 160-6 and bigger, a separate steel adaptor flange is supplied, fit to the gearbox output flange. The adaptor flange is available for amongst others ZF/Hurth, Velvet, PRM and Paragon gearboxes.

Type 115-4 en 150-4 are standard supplied with a straight bore and keyway. Starting from type 160-6 and bigger the couplings are standard supplied with a taper bore (1:10) and keyway.

A version with self centering clamp kit is available as well.
